Over 65 Bruins were on board as the RV Sea Explorer set off on "Bruins Ahoy!" from Newport Bay on November 5th. The day was clear in the bay, and misting slightly as we got past the breakwater. We visited the kelp forest and studied a core sample from the ocean floor, and saw many of the animals that make up our coastal water ecosystem.
